Homelessness is a deeply complex and systemic issue that cannot be solved by housing alone. Yet, by offering three different types of accommodation - each tailored to different stages of need - we hope to empower individuals on their path to stability, dignity, and lasting homeownership.

The journey toward a secure and lasting home is made up of critical steps, each with its own significance. The first step focuses on providing the simplest, fastest, and most affordable shelter - a way to protect people experiencing street homelessness while preserving their privacy and dignity. The second step offers improved temporary accommodation: spaces with private bathrooms, small kitchens, and postal addresses - essential foundations for accessing work, training, and community support. The final step is the creation of permanent, affordable, and sustainable homes, offering the stability and opportunity that everyone deserves.

At Wudl, we provide (custom design and manufacture) a diverse range of accommodation options under Step 2, from compact, en-suite pods designed for individuals to spacious two-bedroom units ideal for families. Where we truly excel is in Step 3: creating sustainable, high-quality homes that offer lasting stability and a foundation for the future.

It’s also worth noting that not all people want a conventional home. Sometimes a small (but safe and secure) shelter is just enough. People’s needs greatly differ.

Everything we produce is extremely low-energy / low-carbon and we use natural and recycled (and recyclable) materials throughout. Whilst tackling one crisis we can’t be putting anymore pressure on the others - our diminishing material resources and impact on the climate.
